Features of our Model AG3000
- Though ALPHA-GENESIS temperature uniformity has been far better than any other incubator, the Model AG3000 is yet more uniform. Our new four-fan Double Belt symmetric air circulation system creates flat uniformity over 80% of the egg plane with only 1/10 degree F variation outside of that. Our new Top Radiant Heater maintains the Alpha-Genesis see-thru window for a clear view of your eggs.This means that you can place your eggs anywhere in any egg cradle and know that each egg is receiving the same temperature, now from the top as in nature.
- We have added a dedicated fan in the electronics compartment. This extends component life and improves ambient sensor response. Our Universal Power Supply runs cooler. Alpha-Genesis units are compatible with any AC power source anywhere in the world. No adaptation is needed for plug-n-play in any country. They will also operate on 12 VDC from solar panels or hydro-electric generators.
- The exchangeable egg cradle supports are dedicated to cradle set size making use even easier. A new improved auxiliary cradle set accepts eggs up to 2.4 inches (60mm) in diameter. New flat shuttle bar design improves temperature uniformity.
- There is 7/8 inch more egg clearance above the cradles to accommodate larger eggs.
- Our New Power Cooling option allows cooling of your eggs automatically to imitate the parent bird's absence from the nest while you are away or asleep. You choose the temperature drop and how often eggs are cooled. The Power Cooling Unit also can function as an over-temp controller. It works with the heater to regulate in high ambient conditions such as above normal hot days (Global Warming) or during air-conditioning failure.
- There are new Advanced Modes: Three for humidity control, silence the alarm beeper, and optional Power Cooler settings.
- The AG3000 now comes standard with a serial to USB adapter for online software updates and support.

ALPHA-GENESIS AG3000 - Different from the rest
SAFETY:
We offer several configurations and capacities for your particular requirements. Since the ALPHA-GENESIS™ requires only 12VDC, an ordinary auto battery removed from your car can extend operation during long-term outages. When the grid power is restored our built-in charging system replenishes the stand-by battery. Your valuable eggs never know there was a problem. You can sleep through the whole affair. Furthermore, the AG3000 surveillance circuitry warns you both visually and audibly of high or low temperature, fan failure, failure to re-position the eggs, or low battery condition.
SANITATION:
Every incubator must be cleaned and disinfected periodically. This should be possible with the minimum of effort, time, and danger to the environment. The ALPHA-GENESIS™ incubator is designed so all surfaces are easily cleaned and disinfected with simple soap and water followed by a biodegradable disinfectant solution. No poisonous gas is necessary. The unit requires no structural disassembly. The egg cradles and fan-heater-sensor assembly are lifted out without the use of tools. The external water container is easily removed without tools for submersion treatment or you can just put it in your dishwasher. We also offer an optional ozone generator for non-toxic gas disinfecting (Please call: 707-923-1445).
GENTLENESS:
What could be more important when dealing with valuable wild bird eggs than gentleness? The ALPHA-GENESIS™ system is the kindest incubator made. Its fans are so quiet they can only be heard in a silent room with your ear next to the unit. There is no discernible vibration in either the fans or the egg positioning mechanism. This superior egg movement is accomplished through a very slow, smooth gear motor and precision computer designed linkage. The stainless steel egg cradles rotate the eggs through a 105º arc without the friction of rollers or the impact of moving grates. The eggs come to rest with the air cell slightly elevated. Whether you choose to place them on their point for space conservation or on their side in the natural position the results are the same. You have a clear view to check eggs at any time by looking directly through the transparent lid window. The eggs lie on a single plane just 2 inches away. Candling is achieved without removing the eggs. Now that's gentle!
CONVENIENCE:
A major convenience requirement is ease of operation. Can a professional piece of equipment that allows you so many functional options be easy to operate? If you can program an ordinary digital watch you can run the ALPHA-GENESIS™. To program, use the three push buttons under the LCD display. Simply select the function, and use the two adjacent buttons to make a setting. Cycling through the various indicator and control modes, you will find: incubation temperature, ambient temperature, set temperature, incubation humidity, ambient humidity, set humidity, high and low alarm functions, egg position timing, position count-down, battery voltage, and Fahrenheit/Celsius option. The chosen settings will then operate completely automatically and all will appear on a back-lit LCD display visible without turning on the room light. Temperature is displayed in degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius and humidity directly in percent. No calculations are necessary. Humidifying water is easily replenished. The ALPHA-GENESIS™ reservoir is external, easily detached for cleaning, has a large filling port on top that is dust and insect-proof into which distilled water can be poured. When you use our non-toxic, biodegradable FRESH Stabilizer™ (included), your eggs are protected from waterborne contaminaton in the humidity system without gassing in the unit or crystalline buildup on the evaporator. To set or remove eggs from the unit, simply open the lid; the fans are automatically stopped to minimize cooling. The egg cradles are now in full view for unencumbered access. You will appreciate the ALPHA-GENESIS™ design when it comes time to clean and disinfect. With the egg cradles and the fan-heater-sensor-evaporator assembly lifted out without the use of tools, the remaining smooth surfaces can all be accessed through the top lid. We made sure there were no ledges or sills to hamper wiping out the unit with a sponge. Unlike other designs there are no air chambers and passages or any inaccessible areas.
CONTROL:
Our controls are all up-front. The push buttons are sensitive, high quality, color-coded, and function labeled. The LCD read-out is backlit. Status and alarm LED lights are visible from a distance for monitoring at a glance. An audible alarm warns you of all conditions requiring your attention. We don't pretend to know how all of the different species of wild birds' eggs should be incubated. The ALPHA-GENESIS™ is a professional incubation tool that allows you to make the decisions. When you choose the set temperature point (to one-tenth of one degree) the unit will maintain that temperature and when you choose the humidity (to one percent), it will automatically regulate to that setting. Our Humidity Injection System has greatly simplified water vapor production in the unit. A stainless steel digital valve with Viton seals injects very small amounts of distilled water onto a 8-inch square piece of paper fabric. There are no external moving parts and the process is silent. Since there is no water inside the unit except what has been placed there by the digital valve, a much greater humidity range is possible (16-70%).
You can set whatever high and low temperature warnings you want and the unit will sound the alarm, activate the appropriate status lights, and display the alert on the LCD if there is a problem. There is a digital safety shut-off chip that will catch any temperature control failure. The Power Cooling option will cool your eggs as parent birds do and regulate in high ambient conditions such as above normal hot days (Global Warming) or air-conditioning failure. You can select whatever egg-positioning interval you need in half-hour increments (0 to 6.5 hours). The read-out will also indicate how long until the next movement. You can advance the eggs to the next position manually at any time by means of a front panel push button or stop the movement at any place of your choosing by opening the lid: valuable when candling. When you close the lid, movement resumes and the timer continues from where it was before the candling operation. Large individually adjustable casters support the unit to ensure level stability (set with a built-in bubble level).
PRECISION:
Is it really necessary to regulate temperature to 0.10 F? Not always. Domestic poultry do not require these tolerances. The ALPHA-GENESIS™ incubator is specifically designed for wild bird eggs. The process of domestication selects genes that are tolerant to the conditions present during that evolution. Wild creatures are not subjected to these restrictive conditions and therefore have different standards for incubation. Before ALPHA-GENESIS™, incubators were designed primarily for the hatching of domesticated fowl; their use being adapted for wild birds. Of course many wild birds have been hatched in these adapted units, but how many have been lost? What is your overall hatch rate? Might not a better incubator improve your production? Is "good enough" really good enough for your valuable eggs? ALPHA-GENESIS™ is our effort to eliminate the shortcomings of the machine in incubation. More important than regulation is uniformity. Is every one of the eggs in the set receiving exactly the same treatment? Roller and grate systems can rotate small eggs as much as four times more than larger ones. To adjust such units requires measuring each egg, sorting them into groups and performing involved mathematics. At best it is still a compromise as the eggs in each group still have variable centers of gravity. The ALPHA-GENESIS™ single-plane egg array and static fan symmetry guarantees uniformity superior to any other incubator we have tested. Don't worry about the eggs in the corners or on the front or back rows. They are well within the 0.10°F parameter of the entire egg zone. This means that the 100 mixed-size egg capacity of the ALPHA-GENESIS™ is real capacity, and those eggs are being positioned to exactly the same degree of rotation regardless of their size and the air cell angle remains exactly as you put it, unlike that of roller systems.
Also standard are sensors for ambient air temperature and humidity of the same accuracy of those inside the unit. You will know exactly what is going on in the incubator room that might affect your settings. The ALPHA-GENESIS™ incubator is precise both electrically and mechanically. Its ABS double-wall insulated construction is very strong. It is crafted to standards unseen in the industry. Its components are the best we can find. This all makes ALPHA-GENESIS™ not only the finest incubator made, but a pleasure to use.
